Summer Jam West, the organization behind the community arts festival of the same name, is now the Hilltop Arts Collective.

The festival name didn’t change, just the name of the organization behind it.

Summer Jam West

Our annual arts & music festival is where it all started for us. Each year’s festival is different, but one thing never changes: It’s about community.

  • YOUR festival is jam-packed with activities and high-quality programming for all ages. And it’s FREE!

  • Are you interested in being a festival vendor? Or perhaps volunteering a shift during the festival?

Public Art

We’ve been bringing permanent public art to the Hilltop since 2015 in a variety of ways, including the programs listed below.

  • Our commitment to the Hilltop community is to commission at least one major public art installation each year, along with smaller commissions throughout the year.

We only commission local artists, and we look to provide opportunities for established and emerging artists alike.

Check out our full list of installations since 2015.

  • ARtsway is a mural tech mentorship program for high school students, launched in 2021.

Students learn how to create a mural from start to finish from professional artists, and how to bring their mural to life using augmented reality!

  • We want to see more public-facing residential art on the Hilltop. Murals on garage doors, art panels affixed to fences, sculpture in front yards, you name it. If this is something you’re interested in, stay tuned!

Partnerships

Sometimes, you lead, and other times, you help out. Partnerships are where we simply lend a hand to someone else.

  • Songs on Sullivant: An Evening of Caroling and Community is a grassroots winter holiday event led by Hilltop resident Melissa Green.

We’re one of many partners; our main contribution is co-hosting an art supply and gift drive for youth which benefits the event.
