Meet Our Team
-

Lexie Holliday (she/her)
President
Lexie moved to the Hilltop at the end of 2020. A lifelong volunteer and a graduate of CCAD, she always keeps any eye out for ways to connect with her community. When Summer Jam West promoted their new name and branding as the Hilltop Arts Collective, she knew she wanted to become an active member. Lexie is passionate about making spaces for art and enjoys the community it creates.
When not volunteering, she can typically be found on her bicycle, at a coffee shop playing board games, or occasionally painting a mural over at 934 Gallery.
-

Emily Smith (she/her)
Vice President
Emily moved to the neighborhood in 2020 and joined the Hilltop Arts Collective in 2022 after attending our very first Creative Connections event. Emily is a graphic designer by profession and is passionate about using her skills to engage with her community. She loves the Hilltop Arts Collective because of the way it allows her to serve and showcase creative talent within the Hilltop.
In her free time you’ll find Emily working on her latest crochet project, thrifting, baking, or spending time with family. She is also a big fan of animation history so ask for a fun fact next time you see her!

Jen Town (she/her)
Secretary
Jen Town is a Columbus, Ohio–based mixed-media artist and digital project manager. In her professional life, she works in digital marketing, coordinating teams, timelines, and deliverables for websites and other digital projects. As an artist, she loves learning new skills and techniques and has taught workshops in gelli plate printing and collage. Jen holds an M.F.A. in Creative Writing from The Ohio State University, and her first book, The Light of What Comes After, was published by Bauhan Publishing in 2018. She currently serves as secretary of the Hilltop Arts Collective board, helping plan events and connect Hilltop artists and residents with arts resources and programming.
-

Eric Johnson (he/him)
Treasurer
Eric grew up in Westgate and has returned to the neighborhood twice, most recently in 2019. Deeply connected to the Hilltop, he brings both professional expertise and creative passion to his role on the Hilltop Arts Collective Board. Though he works as Counsel for Nationwide and now serves as Treasurer, his love of the creative process led him to volunteer with Summer Jam West in 2023 and to actively engage in Creative Connections events, workshops, and community gatherings.
Outside of work, Eric is a drummer in two local bands, including One Eyed Mama, and has performed with both the Columbus Community and Columbus State Community College Jazz Bands. He also enjoys gardening, woodworking, and traveling, often building display pieces for the ceramic artwork of his wife, artist Kathryn, known as Kats Clay Creations. He is proud to serve as Treasurer during this pivotal moment for HAC and is excited to help shape the organization’s next chapter.
-

Pam Weaver (she/her)
Board Member
Pam Weaver has been a board member since Summer Jams, humble beginnings in 2014. She organized the attendance of the Hilltop Police Liaison, Equine Unit, and Police Bike Patrol (who repair kids' bicycles at no cost) at our festival. Pam is also involved in the Hilltop Kiwanis, and has been an active volunteer on the Hilltop for over 45 years, amassing a wealth of board and volunteer experience, which is an invaluable asset to the team. It feels like Pam knows just about everyone in the Hilltop, and her relationships in the community reflect that.
Pam's involvement in the Hilltop spans the Hilltop Business Association, Hilltop Area Commission, Citizens Police Academy Alumni Association, area, Boy, and Girl Scout troops, and numerous Block Watches. She was nominated by Summer Jam West in 2019 for a Medical Mutual of Central Ohio Outstanding Senior Volunteer, where she received a finalist award winner status

Erik Johnson (he/him)
Intern from The Ohio State University’s Urban Art Space
Erik is currently a student at The Ohio State University studying art with a minor in history. Over the past year, he has gained a strong interest in arts administration, working with the Urban Arts Space Gallery downtown. He will be helping HAC with various tasks, including curation, events, and social media.
Yes, we have two Eri(c/k) Johnson’s on our team. And fun fact…they also share the same middle name!
Want to join the team or learn more about what we do?
Thank you to all of our committee members who work with our board to make our organization great!
